Some Saturday Thoughts

Random Thoughts As We Go Into Christmas:

• It's not "Holiday", it's Christmas. Merry Christmas!

• It's not going to be snowing where I am on Christmas Day. That sucks.

• Baby sneeze and laughter still puts a smile on my face.

• I really need puppy snuggles and kisses. I miss that.

• I've been googling "end of life" signs. Sounds all kinds of wrong, but IYKYK.

• I've become a meme hoarder. I was always a font hoarder, but I've evolved (or devolved) into this. Not sure how to feel about it. Thank goodness for my 2TB external drive.

• I miss photoshop. Still have it but can't find time to use it right now. Sooo many changes I need to explore, especially with their AI.

• Need to spend more time polishing my posts. Re-reading old ones makes me realize I use the phrase, "So...." WAY too much. And this is after I've edited. Do better, girl.

As for Mom:

Sleeping a lot, talking in her sleep A LOT. We have her a hospital bed in the living room now and a bedside toilet. Her left leg just doesn't work anymore, and she struggles to shuffle to the bed or toilet with assistance. She can't hold conversations anymore either. She smiles at you when you speak to her and she can answer simple questions in her usual sassy manner, but nothing more than a sentence before she starts to mumble. This has started since around October/November. About the time her leg stopped working. It's been downhill since. I do fear she had another stroke, but it doesn't matter now. Our goal is to keep her comfortable and let her live her best life.
